Thank you for volunteering for the 2017 Armadillo Classic Bike Ride! This bike ride could not have succeeded these past 29 years without the very generous support of volunteers.

After you register, the event coordinator will send you specifics about your volunteer assignment within 7 (seven) days. If you do not receive an email within a week of registering, please contact [email protected].

This bike ride benefits Bike Austin and Bike Austin Education Fund. Bike Austin improves quality of life for Austin and Central Texas by growing bicycling as a form of transportation, exercise, and recreation through education and advocacy.

We are offering one (1) of the following incentives if you volunteer for 3 or more hours in the 2017 Armadillo Classic Ride

  • One FREE entry into the 2017 Armadillo Classic Ride (select positions: Route Signage, Set Up/Tear Down)
  • One FREE entry into the 2018 Armadillo Classic Ride (October, 2018)
  • Free pass (ride) to the Driveway series at the Driveway
  • One FREE entry to all Bike Austin Events for one year if you volunteer for 5 or more hours 
  • One FREE annual Bike Austin Membership

I intend and agree to volunteer for the Bike Austin. I understand that the nature of volunteer activities that I may perform in my capacity as a volunteer may involve physical activities, contact with unidentified and/or unfamiliar persons, or other potential risk of bodily injury or damage to property. Knowing this and in consideration of being allowed to volunteer, I hereby sign this waiver and release in favor of Bike Austin, and it's officers, directors, employees, agents, sponsors, volunteers, promoters, administrators, successors and assigns (referred to collectively as the "Released Parties"). I hereby release, waive, discharge, covenant not to sue, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless for any and all purposes the Released Parties from any and all liabilities, damages, claims, demands, or injuries, including death, that may be sustained by me resulting from or arising out of my service as a volunteer. INCLUDING ANY SUCH DAMAGES, CLAIMS, DEMANDS, OR INJURIES, INCLUDING DEATH, CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY THE NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER ACT OR OMISSION OF THE RELEASED PARTIES, OR BY A PRE-EXISTING DEFECT. I understand that this agreement to indemnify and hold harmless does not apply to injuries caused by intentional or grossly neglected conduct. I understand and agree that this Waiver and Release shall bind my heirs, assigns, successors, and personal representatives, including my spouse and members of my family, and shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. I understand that as a volunteer, I may become privy to confidential information about the Bike Austin. I agree to maintain the confidentiality of any information marked "confidential" as well as any information about Bike Austin’s internal procedures, business operations, personnel information and the like that is not otherwise publicly disclosed by Bike Austin. I will not use any confidential information in any manner that would be detrimental to the Bike Austin, and I will avoid any actions that might impair the reputation of the Bike Austin.
